Off of Stonington

Off of Stonington
Oil
40 x 60

This painting was done on commission for a very dear friend.  He asked me to do a painting of something on the coast of Maine.  Those were his instructions.  When I showed him the final piece he knew exactly where it was.  Made me feel pretty good.  The boat coming into the picture is named Eleanor.

    1. A year later I am now ready to blog and can't figure out how to put in the newest blog. Thank you for your comments so long ago. I hope that in a week or two I will be back at it.

  2. Hi, Lee.Just sort of "stumbled" onto your blog, and I really love the way you have captured that heavy, misty atmosphere in your Stonington paintings. What a delight! I live and paint in Maine, and am doing 30 daily paintings of vacationland--a sort of visual "stay-cation" for those who are feeling the pinch of the unfortunate economy! Anyway, I hope you'll take a look when you have the time--and I would love a link?
